Young Clayton Dalrymple lives a very ordinary, conservative life. His father is a banker who doesn't believe in children's stories, and especially not such nonsense as the Brothers Grimm.  Then one day Clayton happens on a vacationing Dwarf from the Old Country--and that's when his education, and his big adventure, begins. By the time the book ends, Clayton, with the help of his new friends, saves his father's bank, rescues a princess, and preserves a kingdom.  The illustrations in this book were drawn by the author's grandchildren.
